Lead Software Engineer – Graphics Device Drivers

A technical and management lead role for an experienced embedded software engineer to work alongside other small teams implementing hardware graphics solutions appropriate for the next generation of Windows netbooks and mobile devices. These drivers will be downloaded and installed by end-users all over the world

You’ll be contributing to all areas of the development including original coding, optimization, testing & debug as well as bring-up of new hardware platforms. There are opportunities to both travel and engage with customers

The company are also looking for general Embedded Software Engineers to join the team (must have C and low level software skills).

Responsibilities –
- Management of a small sub team day to day.
- Design and development of next generation Windows display drivers
- Pursuing creative approaches for optimizing for low power and maximum performance
- Contribute to Windows Logo testing
- Opportunity to liaise with external research teams
- Bring-up of new hardware platforms.

Skills Required –

- Written & spoken communication skill appropriate to a team lead position
- Excellent Embedded C programming skills
- Experience in low level driver development
- Some background in computer graphics

Desirable skills -

- Windows device driver programming
- Direct 3D Graphics experience
