Firmware Software Engineer

A company is looking for a Firmware Software Engineer to come up with inventive embedded instrumentation solutions within a range of analytical instruments. You will work on a range of tasks including design, applications, development and integration of products. An aptitude for project management would also be beneficial, however this is a hands-on role and you must have a strong background in firmware development.
Firmware Software Engineer requirements:

Strong academics- a 2:1 or 1st from a good university
Experience developing firmware with advanced microcontrollers or FPGAs
System level design and control systems
C / C++ development in real-time embedded applications
*Due to company legislation candidates must be UK / EU citizen and eligible to work in the UK without a permit.

Firmware Software Engineer desirables:

Scientific instrumentation knowledge
Mechanical aptitude
System modeling tools (MATLAB)
ISO9000/TickIT environment
