Embedded Software Engineer – Sensor based systems

Exiting time for an embedded software engineer to join a University spin-off developing acoustic/vibration sensor based products. They are currently rolling out their primary product on a commercial basis whilst taking a second product into trials in Q2 2011.

With a focus on delivery and growth, they are already progressing business development opportunities across the globe. To support that they are now seeking to reinforce growth potential with the addition of one, and possibly two, embedded software engineers to become key members of the company and to support the laying of a strong foundation for that accelerated growth.

Suitable embedded software engineers will have around 5+ years commercial experience, be able to work autonomously (without supervision), strong embedded C skills, use of registers for direct control of hardware, interrupt handling, communications protocols such as I2C and similar.

Any of the following skills are highly desirable – QNX, MSP430, use of library stacks and similar for TCP/IP networking or MQTT telemetry, Java application development, OPC SCADA protocol.
