Embedded Software Engineer – Network Processors

Senior Embedded Software Engineer vacancy within a brand new team to define and implement application reference designs for this semiconductor companies leading edge system-level architectures. You will create a suite of embedded software solutions to address customer needs (often pre-empting market trends and requirements) within backhaul networks.

Responsibilities:
• Determining requirements & writing specs for embedded applications, drivers and API’s
• Implementing and verifying these components on various microprocessors (inc multicore processors optimised for networking applications)
• Turning around designs to support the needs of customers
• Providing feedback and influence on the architecture of proprietary microprocessor technology and supporting tools

Position: Software Engineer/Senior Software Engineer
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (easy access from M40)
Salary: £40-70k.
Requirements: Strong academic background inc 1st class or 2.1 degree, Real time embedded development for Network Processors, Multithreaded and multicore software design, C or C++, assembler.
Desirable skills: HDL, FPGA, customer contact, PhD or MSc, VxWorks, Linux, WinCE or other RTOS.
