Software Engineer – Build and Test Automation

The Software engineer will work within the build team to code and support the automation of the building, testing and releasing of products. You will need to liaise with the driver developers, hardware developers and the simulation team right through to the product management and release engineers.

Responsibilities:
Write scripts, applications and documentation to automate development tasks (typically Python, Perl, maybe C)
Develop and maintain the knowledge base of component revisions, results found and direction taken throughout the process pipeline
Setup and maintain test and build machines
Interact with other teams to make the whole product successful

Required Skills:
1-3 years development experience of scripting, or an excellent graduate with direct experience
Excellent scripting skills – Python, Perl, VBScript
Relational database skills – MySQL, SQL and Oracle
Excellent communications skills

Desirable Skills
Good experience on Linux or Unix
Understanding of virtualisation technologies – HyperV, VMWare
Knowledge of source control systems
Experience of testing embedded devices
Interest in gaming technology
