Python Software Engineer (Build & Release) - recent grad or experienced!

As a Python Software Engineer, you will join a large semiconductor company working with cutting edge graphics technology that won't be on the shelf for a few years! You will join a smaller build team where your inputs will be readily recognised and there is opportunity for career development. You’ll develop scripting skills in Python, Perl and VBScript with the opportunity to work on Linux! The build team work with Hardware Developers, other Software Engineers and Release Engineers, coding the automation of building, testing and releasing new products! This is an ideal opportunity for a Python Software Engineer with a few years experience or a recent graduate with scripting in Python, Perl or VB Script- you will be provided with on the job training, eventually taking ownership of software development within the build team! The ideal Software Engineer will have excellent skills in Python, Perl or VBScript with relational database skills in MySQL, Oracle of SQL. Linux skills are very desirable.

As a Python Software Engineer you will be:

-Writing scripts and software applications to automate software development tasks
-Setting up and maintenance of test and build machines
-Working closely with driver developers, hardware developers and release engineers for the success and development of new products.
- Developing and maintaining the knowledge base of component revisions, results found and direction taken throughout the process pipeline.

Ideal Python Software Engineers will have development experience of scripting in Python, Perl or VBScript. You should also have relational database skills in SQL, MySQL or Oracle.

Python Software Engineer desirables include Linux, Unix, virtualization technologies, HyperV, VMWare, source control systems, interest in gaming, embedded devices.
