Linux Embedded Software Engineer Hemel Hempstead

Embedded software engineer position working within a mixed discipline R&D team in an established (early 90’s) and successful, award winning company who develop microwave and satellite communication systems. The successful embedded software engineer will be involved in the specification, design and development of software on Linux and other RTOS platforms, customization of Linux kernels, development of Linux device drivers, embedded web pages, Integration and debugging.

You’ll work closely with other Software, Hardware and FPGA team members.

Position: Embedded Software Engineer with Embedded Linux
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
Salary: £30-48k.
Key Skills: Embedded C, Linux kernels, using scopes, analysers, bus interfaces, understanding of hardware design, device drivers
Desirable: C++, JavaScript, Xilinx Micro blaze.

Suitable candidates will have at least 3 years industry experience developing embedded software using C, at least 1 significant Embedded Linux project and hardware design would be useful too. Use of scopes /analysers, working from datasheets and hardware interfaces will be second nature.
