Software Engineer – IC Modelling & Tools
Software Engineer required to assist in the development of technologies for complex integrated circuits. Prospective software engineers will be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of software engineering using C++ and/or Java. They will also show an interest in the principles and techniques of electronic hardware design. This may result from a background in one or more of the following areas: Hardware modelling in SystemC or similar, Hardware functional verification, Embedded software development, EDA tool or processor toolchain development.

Position: Software Engineer.
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (easy access from M40)
Salary: £30-50k.
Key Skills: C++ or Java, strong academics, Hardware modelling or EDA (electronic design automation) background.
Desirable skills: PhD or MSc, toolchain development, DSP, SoC, FPGA, ASIC, SystemC, Verilog, VHDL, C, assembler, Multi-threaded /Multi-core software design, Unix, Linux or Windows.

Responsibilities include
• Developing and maintaining SystemC models and/or associated design tools
• Developing and maintaining a debug infrastructure including host PC debug software and influencing corresponding debug circuitry.
• Assisting in the development of a message based design methodology that facilitates hardware/software co-design, including contributions to the development of embedded APIs and supporting design tools.
