Software Engineer with music!

Dream role for a Junior or Graduate Software Engineer with an interest in music to develop code for a leading range of professional audio electronics. The system runs on an embedded platform with a mix of C and C++ code, higher level interfaces are developed using C#. The Engineering Manager is happy to consider bright and enthusiastic software engineers with good skills in either C, C++ or C#. In an ideal world you’ll have 2 years relevant commercial experience but 1 will suffice (this could be an industrial placement year).

The successful Software engineer will play an integral role in the R&D Department, involved in designing software for new products and developing enhancements to the current product range. The role would ideally suit an energetic, motivated individual who can develop ideas from the concept stage through implementation and validation to end products, and has a commitment to producing high quality results.

Key Responsibilities

To work within the R&D team to develop new products.
To add new features to existing products
To debug and fix faults in current product
To ensure that products are fit for purpose on release

Skills and Knowledge

Proficient in C, C# or C++
Ability to analyse software problems
Able to produce work to a high standard
Self motivated and enthusiastic
Experience of .Net development would be an advantage
An understanding of hardware and embedded systems would be an advantage
An interest in audio technology is desirable
