Algorithm Research Engineer

Software engineering position involving the research, development and implementation of video encoder control algorithms. Previous knowledge of video is NOT required as the company are happy to educate new recruits in this area. Suitable software engineers will have strong C or C++ programming skills, a good grounding in computing (likely to have shown an interest from an early age), a mathematical or scientific degree level qualification such as Physics, Computer Science, Maths, Electronics etc and proven ability to develop and analyse complex algorithms.

Responsibilities of the algorithm engineer will also include development of video analysis tools, analysis of encoded video content, architectural and function documentation.

MSc or PhD qualifications are of particular interest.
