Media Framework Software Engineer (Android, Linux)

New position for a Software Engineer to develop media frameworks targeting Android platforms at the forefront of graphics, audio and video technology. We’re looking for a Software Engineer with experience in Android, Linux, graphics or Multimedia with excellent C or C++ programming!
Role: Software Engineer (Media Framework)
Location: Surrey
Salary: £35-45k + excellent benefits

Primary Responsibilities as a Software Engineer include:

-Development of media framework targeting Android functionality
-Application of network protocols, media containers, video conferencing engines, A/V synch to interface with supporting audio features (e.g. playback) and codecs
-Working with the chip architecture team for improvement of design

Software Engineer requirements include:

-Android, Linux, graphics or multimedia experience
-C / C++ programming
-understanding of electronics hardware and preferably assembler programming skills
-debugging and fault finding skills

Software Engineer desirables include experience with Android or Linux and assembler programming

You’ll join team of Software Engineers targeting the media framework of an Android operating system, modified to provide hardware acceleration for video, graphics and audio equipment. This is an ideal role for a Software Engineer with expertise in developing multimedia technology, Android or Linux, an understanding of electronics hardware and excellent C / C++ programming.
